Meet our wonderful Veterinarians

Dr. Dennis Harrigan

"I graduated from UC Davis Veterinary School in 1984 and moved to Gilroy with my wife, Renee, in 1987.  I have two kids: Brian and Kyle, three dogs, and a cat. I'm still trying to figure out which I like better, the animals or the kids.

I've had the pleasure of being involved in many community activities, such as the local soccer club, being chef at the Garlic Festival, and I very much enjoy teaching anatomy and art to elementary school children.

My interests in veterinary medicine are varied and include dentistry, reptiles, endocrine problems, and surgery. My greatest joy in practice is being able to interact with the pets and their owners.   My hobbies are cooking, fly fishing, and playing soccer and volleyball".

Lonna and I never had kids of our own and our pets have become "the kids". They mean the world to us. My relationship with them only deepens as I get older. I always try to treat my patients as I would my own pets. I love helping people take good care of their babies and really like all aspects of veterinary medicine. I have a special interest in nutrition because it has the power to prevent skin, ear, and bowel issues or treat chronic medical problems and lessen the need for pills and other medication.
